How a made-to-order piece is made, from sapphire to setting

Every Camille Louise Jewellery piece is made to order. Nothing waits in a warehouse: your piece is crafted once you order it. Here is what that means, using the Aurora Borealis Trillion Necklace as an example.

Our collections are built around coloured sapphires. For the Aurora Borealis necklace, that means eleven trillion-cut sapphires in blue, pink and purple, weighing 1.0 carat in total, graded loupe clean and sourced from Sri Lanka and Madagascar. Our founders are GIA-certified jewellers, and the origin and quality of each stone are listed on every product page.

We work in 18K (750) gold, in rose, yellow or white depending on the piece. The Aurora Borealis necklace uses about 3 grams of 18K rose gold for its fine chain and settings.

Our jewellery is designed in Switzerland and Europe and made to order, reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and transparency.

Because the piece is made for you, you choose the details that matter: the necklace length (40 to 45 cm for the Aurora Borealis), or your ring size using our sizing guide. Personalisation such as engraving, initials or a custom message is also available; conditions apply.
